Dice is played on a wooden board balanced on a milk crate. The game is played on a green mat featuring six symbols found on each side of the dice: the crown, spade, clover, diamond, heart and anchor. The game is played with three dice that are shaken in an upside-down tin. The house shakes the tin and leaves it upside down, while players place their money on the symbol on the mat on which they want to bet. The house lifts up the tin and the dice are revealed – if the dice have landed on the player’s betted symbols, the player wins (house pays); otherwise, the house wins and the player has to pay.
