Description
The Reconciliation Lunch was started in Karin Viviers’s home in Kayamandi. It is a weekly meal that is shared between people of different races, cultures and backgrounds, and aims to facilitate understanding and tolerance.
Currently held at the Legacy Centre in Kayamandi every second Wednesday, the lunch draws local Kayamandi residents, residents from Stellenbosch and visitors from elsewhere. As lunch is served, a facilitator introduces the topic for discussion and every person at the table has the opportunity to share a personal story on the chosen topic.
For those interested in joining the lunch, please send an e-mail to reconciliationlunch@gmail.com for further information.
