House museums

Minky’s home formed part of the Kayamandi Creative District (KCD) project, where local homes were transformed into art galleries or house museums where local artists’ work was displayed. Minky was an active participant in the project and enjoyed exercising her creative talent for storytelling when visitors dropped by her house to view the artworks. She also displayed photographs of her family and described her family history to interested visitors. Although the project is now dormant, Minky’s home remains part of the KCD network should new exhibitions be initiated in the future.
