House museums

Ayanda Mbela’s home formed part of the Kayamandi Creative District (KCD) project, where local homes were transformed into art galleries or house museums where local artists’ work was displayed. Ayanda used to showcase his gumboot dancing talent as part of the KCD tours. Although the project is now dormant, Ayanda’s home remains part of the KCD network should new exhibitions be initiated in the future.
