Description

Biography of SASCHA-LEE ANGELIQUE LAWRENCE, artist, designer and creative.
Sascha-Lee Angelique Lawrence, a vibrant, passionate and ambitious individual, hails from a small town called Pniel (derived from Gen. 32:30, Peniel, which means face of God). With numerous artwork sold and the demand still at its peak, Sascha-Lee has big dreams. In 2009 she received a bursary to study at the P.J. Oliver School of Art in Stellenbosch, where she was educated in the basic principles of art. In 2013 she enrolled at the Spies Venters School of Art in Groot Brak River. With art being her passion, she further undertook to complete a course in graphic design at the Qualitas Career Academy in 2015 in order to broaden her artistic horizons. After generating enough capital, she endeavoured to start her small art business called Art by S.A.L. With artworks inspired by her town’s scenic beauty, she does various types of crafts and graphic design work, but specialises in portrait paintings. She believes in giving back, so in 2017 she taught art and craft classes to developing young minds. She also contributes to non-profit organisations by donating paintings to their causes. The Indigenous Liberation Walk was one of the organisations in which she invested. She envisages creating works of cultural and political truth that inspire art collectors. She aspires to someday study fine art and host a solo exhibition. Contact number: 074 874 4893
