Brendt Wayne de Wet is from a small town, Pniel, outside Stellenbosch. While traveling in London and being exposed to the entertainment industry on a totally different level, Brendt’s passion to become a public figure was established. He is a former Mr South Africa Top 5 finalist and a vibrant, energetic entrepreneur with his own wine label, Brendt Wines, as well as an actor, television presenter, musician and youth development specialist.
Brendt established Brendt Wines in 2016 in his time period for Mr South Africa. Brendt was inspired by the whole wine industry a good seven years ago working as a wine tasting room manager. He also studied through Cape Wine Academy. The Mr South Africa platform shaped his life as a businessman and configured him to venture off as a public figure in South Africa.
Brendt is television personality in South Africa, and has featured on Expresso (SABC 3), kykNET’s Vlerksleep, Top Billing and Morning Live (SABC 2), and is a prevalent figure on Hectic 9 (SABC 2). This led to Brendt being hired as a professional master of ceremonies.
He is a lively musician, with his latest single, “Never give up”, featuring Crushanda Forbes, topping the charts. His music has a unique Southern American style. He is currently working on his album, Born to Win. Brendt started Reik na die sterre Season 1 in 2014 and executed Season 2 in 2015. Season 3 of Reik na die sterre will be launched in 2019 with a new and exciting team and inspired by Brendt’s vision.
Brendt will be collaborating with key role players in the wine industry and he is planning to combine his single tour with a wine-tasting tour.
