Vuyo Mgijima is a local Kayamandi tour guide and entrepreneur. He managed the Kayamandi Creative District (KCD) project, where local homes were transformed into art galleries or house museums where local artists’ work was displayed.
Apart from KCD, Vuyo has established himself as a local tour guide, arts teacher and recycling project manager. Born and raised in Kayamandi, Vuyo is passionate about making a difference in the arts in Kayamandi, specifically through involvement with the youth. He has been an active participant in drumming, visual arts and performing arts teaching to local children. He is an accomplished performer and has performed on stage at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town.
