Description

Thando was raised in Kayamandi by his mother. Being a single parent raising three kids was difficult, but she managed to make the best of the very little they had and Thando looks up to his mother as his inspiration to succeed in life. He managed to study at AFDA Film School through a bursary awarded to him by Film School Africa. Today he is a qualified graduate with a BA degree in Motion Picture. He won the awards for Best Multi Cam Director and Best Technical Directing Team in their 2017 graduation. He is thankful to Kuyasa, where as a young child he was introduced to the art world, as well as his family, Film School Africa and the Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography, where he is currently working.
