Stellenbosch United Brothers was formed by five members, namely Sipho Nothanga, Mxolisi Senti, Xolisa Nosasa, M
ayenzeka Nogemane and late Asavela Matyantya, on 22 September 2014. This group is based in Kayamandi (Stellenbosch). Its main purpose to is give young talent an opportunity to establish themselves in the music industry and to keep the youth busy in order to prevent them from becoming involved in the scourge of drugs, alcohol abuse and violent behaviour.
This group not only focuses on the above-mentioned challenges, but also encourages the youth to equip themselves with available skills through education in order for them to sustain their lives. Most of our members are still at school and others are unemployed youths.
The group was established by dedicated, established and well-known mentors who hail from other emerging local groups and ABAQONDISI BROTHERS (an established musical giant who conquered the world but is no longer in existence). It came to the attention of the founders that there is a huge gap, especially in a disadvantaged area such as Kayamandi.
