IDA’S VALLEY LIBRARY:
At the spurring of the ‘Library Club’, the town council decided in 1959 to establish the Ida’s
Valley Municipal Library. An integral part of the community, the library offers more than just
books.
Children can take part in its numerous events, including holiday programs, weekly story hours, the
ATKV Kinderboek toekennings reading competition, as well as make use of the free ICT service it
offers. In addition to this, the library carries out many Outreach Services for schools and crèches
in the community. Queries can be sent to Colleen Adonis at Colleen.Adonis@stellenbosch.gov.za.
