Description

Sixteen-year-old Gershwin Phillips started playing the recorder as a toddler in church. His father introduced him to the clarinet and they learned to play the instrument together. Gershwin joined the wind band of Paul Roos Gymnasium (PRG). He is currently one of their first clarinet players. He receives part-time clarinet lessons at Stellenbosch University. He has a natural talent for music and is one of the top students in his music class at PRG. He is also a PRG choir member and was selected to sing in their special group.
